The Royal Canadian Mint's innovative Birthstone Series reached new heights with this 2016 Dragon edition. The 1oz .9999 silver coin features a magnificent colorized dragon with genuine emerald crystals embedded as eyes - representing May's birthstone. The reverse design by Canadian artist Simon Ng depicts a Western-style dragon intertwined with a pearl of wisdom combining Eastern and Western mythological elements. The obverse features the Susanna Blunt portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Special security features include radial lines and micro-engraved maple leaves.
